Abstract

This contribution provides an overview to the Mood Disorders chapter of PSYCHIATRY, which is concerned with reviews of various treatments of both unipolar and bipolar disorder. The review aim to provide a useful 'state of the art' update on the management of these disorders and also describe our understanding of how the treatments work and their evidence base. © 2006 Elsevier Ltd.
