The title Schiff base compound, C19H20N2O4, was synthesized by the reaction of o-phenyl-enediamine with 6-methoxy-salicylaldehyde. The central benzene ring makes dihedral angles of 2.78 (5) and 73.98 (5)° with the two terminal phenol rings. Each meth-oxy group is coplanar with the attached phenol ring. The crystal structure is stabilized by intra-molecular O - H⋯N and inter-molecular C - H⋯O hydrogen bonds. © International Union of Crystallography 2007.
