Abstract

The current results are impressive and safe for clinical use. If there is any error from undiagnosed haemoglobins or haemoglobin turnover, this will not give any larger clinical error than presently. Any such problem will now be more obvious in clinical practice, as will self-monitoring problems. If there is any error as a result of a different relationship in other populations, we will be no worse off than currently and, with further study, better off. Communication between healthcare professionals and people with diabetes over their glucose control results will become easier and more effective. © 2008 The Author.
