Abstract

This report indicates, for the first time, the phenomenon of a delayed cure of atrial fibrillation despite an early recurrence after pulmonary vein isolation. Delayed cure occurs predominantly in patients with persistent atrial fibrillation and abnormalities of atrial size and electric parameters.s.
