The management of a pregnant mother at 20 weeks' gestation presenting with ventricular fibrillation and her subsequent elective caesarean section at 38 weeks' gestation are described. Investigation showed the presence of coronary artery aneurysms due to Kawasaki disease. The pregnancy was further complicated by placenta praevia (grade IV). (C) 2000 Harcourt Publishers Ltd.
