Notes: The AHRB award to catalogue and digitise the Hockliffe Collection of early children's books was won by Professor Nigel Wood in 1999. I was recruited as Research Fellow to undertake the task. I build the website - with its catalogue, full digitised images of about 400 books, and accompanying critical essays - from 1999 to 2001 (the end of the grant), adding a little more in 2002-2004. The website now receives about 60 hits per day from users around the world. De Montfort University remains theoretical ownership of the project, but I continue to manage it.
