Measurements of iron losses on SMC ring samples of different sizes showed that the total loss per mass unit was depending on the component size. Bigger SMC components have higher eddy current losses. This paper focuses on iron loss measurements and simulations in perspective to evaluate a loss model that can be used for SMC materials in FEA. (2 References).
