Abstract

A robust prototype multimodality measurement probe is built and tested. The resultant probe features high-strength construction using stable materials suitable for extreme operating temperatures and pressures up to 150°C and 150 bar, modular construction to enable long probes to be constructed on site, small cross-section to present minimal flow restriction within the vessel and enable deployment in pressure vessels through standard 6-inch flanges. The probe is shown to be capable of measuring oil concentration in oil/water and water/oil emulsions.
